Welcome to the Home of Communities of Almaguin Resettlement Endeavour (C.A.R.E.) Online Auction

CARE’s mission is to welcome a Syrian refugee family to our community and provide them with the financial, social, and emotional support needed to begin a new life in Canada. In all things we will be governed by compassion and respect for the family in our care, faithfully acting with the family’s best interests in mind, as we strive to help them become self-sufficient.

C.A.R.E. is a community group of Almaguin residents working together to sponsor a Syrian refugee family to our region in 2016. We are an inclusive and diverse group of individuals and organizations who have come together with the common goal of providing humanitarian support, friendship and a new homeland to a family driven from their country by war.

We will be welcoming them to our area, facilitating their resettlement, and providing financial and social support for the first year of their new life in Canada as we help them to become new members of our community.

Through a community partnership with Zion United Church in Sundridge, who is acting as our treasury, all financial contributions of $20 or more will receive a charitable donation receipt for income tax purposes.
