About Jill Boschulte

Visual artist, Jill Boschulte, works on paper in a variety of mediums in an expressive, dynamic style. Her images are derived from observations and interpretations of weather phenomena, changing seasons and unique landforms.  Words and phrases are occasionally incorporated, acting as warnings and double meanings. Jill reflects on process and outcome; considers what might happen, puzzles over what did happen, and then grounds her ideas in the familiar landscape.

Jill worked as Director / Curator of the W.K.P. Kennedy Public Gallery in North Bay. Previous to that, she designed and subsequently managed a three-year Federal Jobs Strategy project, an innovative training and employment program for visual artists.

Jill has taught in a variety of situations, working with educators, adolescents, children and artists.

She has worked for Canadore College and Artsperience in North Bay, the Association for Experiential Educators, Project D.A.R.E., a wilderness facility for youth at risk, and Outward Bound. She developed and implemented the Tom Thomson Experience for Northern Edge Algonquin in South River, ON.

Jill currently operates a studio and gallery located at 101 Main Street in Sundridge, Ontario.
